March 2023: Bowler is now a trainee guide dog, helping his special family.

August 2022 - After passing all his puppy Guide Dog tests in August, Bowler left his Puppy Raiser family to start the next part of his training at Guide Dogs Cymru in Cardiff (see article)

April 2021: Members agreed to wait for a new puppy to be born so that it could be named Bowler.
March 2021: Bowler was withdrawn from the guide dogs training scheme and rehomed with a loving family.

To help members understand the training programme and at what age the puppy will achieve certain goals, take a look at this info sheet. It covers 12 weeks to 10 months.
September 2018: Tetbury Bowls Club held a 24-hour non-stop bowls marathon to raise funds for The Guides for the Blind. Over £5,000 was raised and we were able to sponsor a new puppy that we called 'Bowler'. Read the article in the Wilts & Glos Standard.
